Adult Bible Study
The Adult Bible Study class is led by the pastor and meets
in the vestry every
Sunday morning following fellowship. Topics discussed include those
relating to the morning's scripture and sermon.
Children's Sunday School
We currently have two Sunday School classes, one for
children in kindergarten through 3rd grade the other for children in 4th
grade and up. Our classrooms are flexible and change with the children in
attendance. For both classes we follow the curriculum from 'Seasons of the
Spirits'. It includes week by week topics, scripture readings, biblical
stories and other activities. The curriculum is mainly divided in to three
sections, each focusing on the relation of faith journeys, stories and
events from the bible:
Pentecost (Sep-Nov)
Advent, Christmas, Epiphany (Dec-Feb)
Lent, Easter (Feb-May)
During special worship services, such as Easter, Christmas
Eve and Palm Sunday, the children have a chance to participate in sharing
their gifts of music and reading. We also have an annual Children's Day in
June, when they lead in the worship service. This day marks the end of
classes and the beginning of summer break.
Youth Worship/Nursery
In addition to Sunday School classes, we offer youth
worship during the second half of worship services, each following the
weekly theme. We rely on different volunteers each week, bringing in new
thoughts and ideas. The children usually start with a game, followed by a
short lesson, and end with an arts and crafts project. We also have a staffed nursery available
for the littlest ones that come to worship with us.
